The Rabbit Hole Tearoom in Stoke on Trent – a cosy, tearoom in United Kingdom

In Suchi’s words, afternoon Tea ritual started in Britain in the early 1840’s. And a trip to England would be incomplete without a visit to a tea room to indulge in some leisurely Afternoon Tea time.

We had a wonderful opportunity to visit ‘The Rabbit Hole Tearoom’ in Stoke on Trent this weekend!

This Rabbit Hole Tearoom in Stoke on Trent, is beautifully decorated in a combination of “Alice in Wonderland” and “Beauty and The Beast” themes. We were in complete awe of the decor which also included a huge open book on the ceiling with Chapter 1 of Alice in Wonderland 😀

The tea was served in a delicate bone china tea pot and tea cups, and a huge tiered stand served tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and cupcakes, sweet pastries and cakes. And they had also included some salad, hand cooked potato chips, fresh fruit slices, bunny shaped cookies and lemonade in mini mason jars, so cute!

My daughter Rhea had their hot chocolate and she said it was the best she had! The staff was very considerate and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable!

The cake portions are big so if you are not able to devour it in the restaurant, you can take it home to enjoy it another day.

So if you are anywhere close to Stoke on Trent do visit this exquisite Rabbit Hole Tearoom and enjoy a leisurely Afternoon Tea!
