Well this article is not about any hotel, but about India’s most remote hotels! Get Away From it All! Whether in a jungle, or across the plains, in the desert, or on mountains, remote Indian Hotels are strategically placed to really make it possible to “getaway.” One of the many wonderful things about travel in India is that cheap hotels are in plenty. But for the traveler who’s looking to hide in its farthest reaches, here is a list of India’s best remote hotels:   The Alsisar Mahal Location: Alsisar Village | District Jhunjhnu, Alsisar 331025, India

The Alsisar Hotel is located in Rajasthan, which is an area particularly known for its wall frescoes. With large, paved courtyards and wall paintings, you’ll feel the magic at this location. The rooms in the Alsisar Mahal are spacious with marble on every surface. It was created from an old fort that has been refurbished and now converted into a hotel. The roads leading to the town where the hotel is located are not the smoothest, so steel yourself for a bumpy ride; but from what we’ve seen, it’s definitely worth a little jostling.   Heritage Village Club, Goa Location: Arossim Beach, Cansaulim 403712, India A hideaway on the beach in Cansaulim, Goa, India, this is a great place to stay if you like being near the water; however, it is quite hidden and far away from other touristic places. Visitors to the hotel love eating at the local beach shack and the staff is helpful and gracious. Many people return to this location once they have discovered it for the first time. It is widely known as one of the best hotels in Goa.   Taj Rambagh Palace Location: Bhawani Singh Rd, Jaipur 302005, India

The Taj Rambagh Palace is a five star hotel, located in Jaipur, India. It is the number one ranked hotel out of 254 other hotels in Jaipur on TripAdvisor. The hotel is actually a palace, with huge gardens sprawling out from it; even the hallways are scented! The rooms are quite spacious and thoroughly clean, which just goes to show that though you may be in one of the most remote places on earth, you can still enjoy luxurious accommodations in hotels that cater to all your needs.   Oberoi Amarvilas Location: Taj East Gate Road, Agra 282001, India Another remote but palatial location, travelers often call this the best hotel in India! The Oberoi Amarvilas is only 600 meters from the world-renowned Taj Mahal, so travelers can wake up in this 5-star hotel every morning to see the magnificent work of architecture from their room’s window. The hotel is not inexpensive by any means, but if you are willing to spend a little extra money, you will end up being  pampered like royalty during your stay. Most of the rooms have balconies that look out over expansive gardens and the view of the grounds from the lobby is exquisite.   Glenburn Tea Estate Location: Darjeeling 734 101, India

The Glenburn Tea Estate is located in Darjeeling province, a great central location to explore everything in this hill station. The price for this hotel is all inclusive, meaning you can take advantage of a car and driver to take a look around. This is also not a cheap hotel, but many who have stayed at Glenburn said they’d return, because of everything that is included. There are only eight bungalows, so it is by no means a large hotel, but this fact allows you to receive personally perfected service, peace and quiet.
