Europe
Soccer is considered to be the second most popular game after cricket in India. We were in Monaco, the starting point of the much-celebrated Tour de France and walking around the streets buzzing with the tour related activities that we came across an interesting stretch overlooking the vast Mediterranean Sea. The Champions Promenade at the Grimaldi Forum is surely a place of interest for those who follow soccer.
As you walk this beautiful esplanade you will find these granite blocks with footprints of famous soccer players and the handprint of that of Dino Zoff, the goalkeeper.Sharing with you few pictures of this walkway…
It will probably take along time for India to have its own square with feet and handprints of soccer players like Baichung Bhutia, Sunil Chetri and the likes….may be when we are done with a square for Tendulkar,Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and other cricketers treated as God in our country.
