Yesterday I went to London city on a train. Its very near to my Dad’s office. It was like going to Office. Priya aunty & Q uncle from India had come home for their holidays. So when they were planning their day I too joined them.

I love photography...and I took this picture of Q uncle and P aunty :-)

First I thought that we were going to my Dad’s Office. Then I thought we were going to hang around next to my Dad’s Office. That was when I found that we were going to go around and learn things. It was good fun & a brilliant exercise.

Soon enough we were at the train station which was in Canada Square. We got into the train & waved goodbye to my Dad. As we got into the train it started going through a tunnel. It was the best part because the train was fast and the tunnel was long and guess what, I sat at the front and pretended to drive the train.(this was the driverless train!!)

We took lots of photos and I too took couple of them. Then we got out and started to explore. The first thing we did was taking pictures of one of the oldest banks in the world – The Bank of England. Then we were getting hungry so we popped into Tesco to buy something to eat. We then got out and went to see St. Mary’s church. There was only a bit to see so we quickly got out and went to the St. Paul Cathedral and found a spot to sit and eat. We had a small picnic there.

We saw a squirrel hopping around for food on the grounds. After our picnic we went inside of the Cathedral. We took some pictures again. Then we walked to the millennium bridge. On the bridge we saw a Hindi film shooting. Priya aunty told me that it was a famous hero from India – John Abraham.

As my dad was coming late we went to the Tate Museum. There we saw some paintings. My favourite painter is Monet. In the exhibition hall I saw the Water Lilies painted by Monet. Other painters like Picasso, Dali, Pollock, Kandinsky…etc. But most of the paintings I did not like as it all seemed like they did not know what to with colours and so they just sprayed them on the canvas. I too have painted the Water Lilies at home.

At the museum there is a booth where we can send video messages to friends. Q uncle & me sent a message to Anil vallicha by email.

Then we went back to St. Paul’s Cathedral via the Millennium bridge and sat outside the Tourist Information Office. That was when my dad came to the place we were sitting which was outside in the grass. Then we went on the double decker bus sitting on the top floor and we saw a lot of places. We got down at Westminister Abbey stop to see the big church. We heard the Big Ben & saw the Clock Tower at the House of Parliament. Then we took photos of the London Eye.I wanted an ice cream so Dad bought one for me. It was very tasty.

Here are few more pictures we took during the day…

By then we were getting late by then. Mom was waiting for us for dinner. So we took the tube & we went home. It was a nice day out for me. Looking for a vacation rental in England? Click here
